Nearest rail station is Kumardhubi which is approx 12 kms from Panchet. Otherwise one can visit from Asansol. It's a small place far from the madding crowd. I stayed at DVC Director's Bunglow. Nice place, very friendly staff and good wholesome tasty food. Best time to visit the dam is early morning or in the evening. In the morning, one may be able to get a glimpse of the morning catch of fish.…

Panchet dam is build across the river Damodar and about 55 kilometer from DHANBAD. This is famous for picnic spot and do lots of masti.

The Panchet dam is long dam with bad road. Few greenary is there. Nothing that interesting found. Visited during April 2018 it was hot then. No wild animal seen while driving through jungle areas.
