Very beautiful view and a must visit place while in mui ne. A tips for you is to get there during the sunset.

The sandunes is the reason why we came to Mui Ne and it was beautiful. On the other hand it felt a little to crowded and they were selling "sledges" (a piece of plastic) to ride the dunes. Another problem was all the litter!! So...More

Best sunset ever. Not because we see the sun. But you can see the color of dessert being glowing red. Must see there, and you will know what I feel 🥂

White sand dunes were better. The red sand dunes were much more crowded and smaller in scale as compared to the white sand dunes. However, this red dunes was located directly opposite our hotel, so it is really convinient

This place is awesome but be careful when the indigenous kids offer you a sand sliding tour. It costed 50.000 vietnam dong/round. Better not say anything to them and book a sliding tour from an old woman/man instead. Cheaper price 15.000 vietnam dong for 30'.

In comparison to the white dunes, we were disappointed with our stop here. The white sands are softer and much cleaner. Here is bombarded with people trying to sell you all of their wares and the sands are covered in garbage, it's actually quite sad...More

Try to avoid the afternoon scorching heat. A good place for some photogenic shots. Went there by scooter. You'll have to pay 10,000 vnd to park at one of the privately drink stalls if you go there alone by bike. If you're planning to head...More

No you can easily do it on your own. Renting a motorbike or one of the jeep tours is probably a the best and most affordable way. I think our tour started at 4.30 or 5.00 am.
Any recommendable hotels nearby White Sand Dunes or Red sand dune?

The dunes are not that close together but not a great distance either. I saw a lot of hotels along the way coming from Phan Theit to the red dunes.
Hi, I will be arriving at HCM Airport around 8am. Do u think I would be able to get 2 bus tix to go Mui Ne on that very same day? I don't wanna take the risk of booking the hotel there and not being able to make it by bus.

You should be able to. I took a bus from downtown. It cost 5 US and took about 5 hours. It was a two level interior recliner seating bus. Quite comfortable. I don't know if you can get a bus from the airport and may... More
