Wonderful, long beach with easy access from highway 17 northwest of Sault Ste. Marie. Crystal clear water and pebbled sand. Lots of area to spread out without feeling on top of other guests.

You're almost there! Batchawana Bay Provincial Park is an irresistible rest stop, or rather an obligatory tease, before getting to the mighty Lake Superior Provincial Park. After driving for hours and hours up highway 17, you'll want nothing more than to get to your destination...More

This is a gem of a beach. Plenty of parking, clean restrooms and lots of beach. The shoreline and surrounding areas are unbelievably clean and pristine. My hat goes off to the maintenance crew! A completely enjoyable day for all the kids.

Batchawana Bay Provincial Park is definitely worth the visit. The park itself is a wonderful park, but Lake Superior with it's golden sandy beach areas are very impressive. A great place to bond with friends family, and nature, and truly enjoy the full Canadian experience....More

After a recent visit of the beach, it still is as wonderful as I remembered it was when I was a child. Lake Superior is beautiful, lots of driftwood--walk out very far and still only be up to waist!

Came here for an afternoon while traveling with husband. Beautiful scenery, plenty of picnic tables perfectly spaced out so insure privacy. Water was perfect temperature on a hot day! Glad we came here, hope to be able to come back one day!

Hello, Thank you for your question. That really depends on personal preference. The average summer temperature of Lake Superior's water is about 40ºF. Sincerely, Ontario Parks
