Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

For a building constructed in 1922, the building has an architectural form from much further back in history. It is a beautiful church with extensive glass work in the windows. It is a real treasure.

St.John's is my regular church. The worship is in the high Anglican tradition with an excellent, four-part robed choir. Psalms are sung to Anglican chant and there is always a motet during communion. There are four organists, all competent. You can expect to hear an organ voluntary from the standard cathedral repertoire. The sermons are well-constructed and thought provoking. If you like traditional worship, you will not do better than St.John's anywhere in Melbourne. Regular services are 8:00am (said) and 9:30am (sung) every Sunday with Choral Evensong at 6:00pm on the first Sunday of the month (except January).

Very pretty church just off Dandenong Rd near Caulfield Racecourse. Lovely location amongst the trees that are such a part of malvern/toorak.

This church building is classified in the register of the National Trust of Australia. The building is of architectural significance. It dates from 1920-22, and was built to replace the original church, opened in 1889. Anglican (Church of England) ministry in the area began earlier in the 19th century and was directed to human needs around the Caulfield Racecourse. These days the church serves its community in various ways and has connections to Monash University's Caulfield campus.
The building is set just a few doors in from heavily trafficked Dandenong Road (a highway). The contrast is amazing. The old stone church façade, the old arching tree branches, the shady mossy frontage ... it's photogenic and historic and worth looking in on if you're nearby. I found myself in the street one afternoon and was pleased to discover this church.
