What we see is for a big part a reconstruction but there is enough of it that is original to be fascinating and unique. It being winter there was only an Italian speaking guide available but he was great and talked slowly so we understood a big part of it. He explained the history of the site very well (the... More

Impressive very old structure. Well preserved. There could have been some more information in English. There is also a menhir, a stone on which the sacrifices where made and a stone with the mother nature figure on it.

We tried to find this, based on the guide book (2014) and satnav... But couldn't. The site is located off the OLD SS131, i.e. Not the new motorway, but now the Via Sassari that runs (South)East from Porto Torres. We never visited, so can't comment on the ruins, but saw artefacts in nearby museums.

This site was part of our half-day tour. The cruise ship was in port for the day, so we used our time wisely. This dates back to 4,000 BC, unbelievable! A bit of a walk from where the bus parks, so wear comfortable shoes. If you have trouble walking, this probably wouldn't be a good choice.

Pesonnel full of criticism on behavior of 20 well educated and gentle new comers on Sardinia, from another culture, creating the impression that Sardinians are agressif, unnecessary and not True of course, but the monument is fantastic!!!!!

What a shame this place is not widely known, it will have many more visitors than the 10 per day. The comune of Porto Torres/Sassari, really need to make people aware of its existence. A marvellous place to visit, one of very few left in the world. You can see the phallic and feminine symbols( the perfect stone eggs) symbolizing... More
