Greek Legend says that, Ulysses lands on the island of the Cyclops during his journey home and, together with some of his men, enters a cave filled with provisions. When Polyphemus returns in the evening and eats two of the men, Ulysses offers Him some strong wine given to him earlier on his journey. Drunk and unwary, the giant asks... More

Wandering along the prom you see this lovely island, which it is also possible to visit. Added to the other volcanic rock structures in this little fishing village, makes a pleasant place to sit and take in the atmosphere

We came back to this beach club again and again. We tried others along the coast which were a bit fancier (and more expensive) but the location and facilities here are great for families. The service from Sonia and the staff in the little café was so warm and friendly too. It's very "local" and even though we don't have... More

Could be because we entered on a weekday - but still In August - we found a reasonably peaceful lido to hang out in for a day. No loud music or kids. Mostly families or older couples. Cost to non-residents is 10 Euro/person. Very large spaces/decks to hang out on near the water. No beach - but that is typical... More

Ciclopi islands are very small and spectacular. It's very easy to visit them by boat and swim there. Sea is beautiful and geographical shapes of the islands are very impressive.

Large pool, very clean. Wooden cabins to change in, toilets dotted around, cafés and kiosks. Lots of chairs and loungers. Decking near the sea. A great day out.

The pool , provision for sun bathing and sea swimming were really good. If you plan to go take a swim cap if you have one for the pool or you will be required to pay 3 EUROS for one and given the entry cost, any sun beds and umbrellas are extra it gets expensive.

We spent a very relaxing morning swimming sunbathing and people watching here. 6 euros each to get in and extra if you want an umbrella or lounger; the white plastic chairs are free to use otherwise people lay out their towels and sunbathe on the decking. Steps down into the clear calm Mediterranean make for easy access in an area... More
