Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very rude owners. They assigned me an umbrella and a sunbed next to a very high wooden panel so no air could circulate and the fixed umbrella shaded the panel and not the sunbed. I only noticed the unsellable location after about 2 hours, also because I was eager to dive into the sea. Having suffered heatstroke and asked to change, they offered me the first row and had to pay double... never again!

Perfect for snorkeling and chill out in the sun or shade. A nice bar and also a restaurant for those who preffer. Swimmingpool with sea water, but I higly recommend the sea. Easy acess to the water by stairs, but wear bathing shoes if you want to stand on tve rocks. A bit pricey (10 € just to enter and then 3 € for umbrella or deckchairs).

We spent a very relaxing morning swimming sunbathing and people watching here. 6 euros each to get in and extra if you want an umbrella or lounger; the white plastic chairs are free to use otherwise people lay out their towels and sunbathe on the decking. Steps down into the clear calm Mediterranean make for easy access in an area which is difficult to swim as the coastline is rocky. Lots of locals enjoying the October sunshine and overall we felt the area hadn't changed much in years. Simple, clean and unpretentious with glorious views whist swimming of the

The beach is composed of big stones. I recommend to go to the part of the beach on the "corner" where there is a view point to the rocks and to the castle in the neighbour town. In this part you don't pay any fee, the entrance to the see is not so stony, because the water is deeper. It is recommended to take goggles with you because the water is crystal clear with many fish. Alhough the beach is not so comfortable beacuse of the stones, it is really nice place with beautiful view. You can go there from Catania by public bus for 1€, 45 min ride.

A nice area for photos and coffee by the sea. Locals mention often the legend that the rocks are the ones that the cyclops were throwing at Odysseus.

My wife and I went almost every day. Entry is € 8,00 if you stay at b&b Epos. You get a card with the discount. and can stay all day in this great sea shore place.

Wandering along the prom you see this lovely island, which it is also possible to visit. Added to the other volcanic rock structures in this little fishing village, makes a pleasant place to sit and take in the atmosphere

Ciclopi islands are very small and spectacular. It's very easy to visit them by boat and swim there. Sea is beautiful and geographical shapes of the islands are very impressive.

Smack in the middle of where Polyphemus threw boulders at Odysseus (or Ulysses, as he is also known) - the Faraglioni proudly standing right next to the Lido dei Ciclopi.
Wonderful area, amazing sea (water is literally transparent), excellent for groups of friends, couples and small families.
Not for a noisy bunch, though - it's one of those spots where people like to relax and enjoy a good day at the sea-side with no music pumping in the back/foreground, no splashing water all over the place etc.
Should one find the sea too much, or if it's a windy day, they also have a swimming pool (with sea water).
Showers, hot water showers as well, excellently kept toilets.
The changing rooms are large and well kept - some are amidst trees and flowers, so they're cooler than those closest to the sea.
The bar has very good granitas with brioches - had them every day!
Great restaurant with Sicilian specialties, as well, should one care to eat at midday.
