This was my present for my nephew’s 16th birthday; I had read about it and I knew he would have loved it. I agreed to fly as well as he wanted me to share the experience and I was terrified, although very curious, and I...More
Still on of the most beautiful towns in Italy. The detour is worth the extra 30 min more than you think. I have been there for the Angel flight with my brothers and is a must do but reserve as it has become popular. This...More
For those who are little afraid of heights i suggest you start from Pietrapertosa because its not so high. For adrenaline seekers they can start from Castelmezzano (before noon).PS...carry a bottle of water with you and some calorie booster for the walk :) have fun
It is one of the most amazing experience ever done, Dolomiti Lucane are goergus! Everyone that goes near Castelmezzano has to stop here to do the flight, the view from the top is something indescribable. I suggest to do the flight from Castelmezzano to Pietrapertosa,...More
Absolutely awe inspiring! You can start on either side. We started in Castelmezzano where you take a shuttle part way, then walk a gruelling half hour up hill. This is not for the faint of heart. The incline is very steep, with no stairs and...More
We did this is the evening around 5:30. It was ridiculously scary and the views were incredible. Bare in mind the zip wire goes very fast. 90-100 km an hour so if you're not a fan of speed I wouldn't recommend it. To get there...More
We were on a double flight and it was awesome! Pick up went well in both places, friendly staff, no waiting time.
Two flights are included in the ticket, one from Castelmezzano to Pietrapertosa and the other one vice versa. The shuttle brings you to...More
We flew from Pietrapertosa to Castelmezzano and back....stopping for a lovely lunch in Castemezzano. What a fun and thrilling day. My sister and I did a tandem ride and it worked out great. Stunning views. Highly recommend for any adventurous souls touring Basilicata. Very efficient...More
Absolute MUST - do not leave Castelmezzano without doing the flight of angels. If you have a GoPro, take it with you and record the journey. If you can pick a clear day and absolutely avoid doing this when there are hailstones... we had them...More

We had a car, you park just outside Castelmezzano, before the entrance to the main town, it's a very obvious car park. They don't let cars into the town. You'll need to then walk to the ticket office to get your ticket, locals will be able to direct you it is the main attraction for the town. There is a bus by the car park which takes you most of the way to the start of your flight, you'll need to walk the last part yourself as it is not accessible by the bus.
The flight itself takes about 60 seconds.
I would allow at least 45 minutes between flights if you intend to do an immediate return.
We travelled in May when it wasn't so busy so they were not so vigilant about start times of flights, however, this might be different in peak season.
Hope this helps.
