Nice beach and town, filled with life, in one nice town in the basque country in Spain. Large sand strip, nice waters, waves and good facilites and amenities for snacks or food. Worth the visit

Long beach. Wide, room for everybody. Fine sand, no rocks apart from at the ends. Fresh but salty water. On most days it is easy and safe to enter the sea. Perfect place to learn to surf. A number of not expensive bars and restaurants....More

This beach is also so wide and sandy, and far less crowded than those at San Sebastian. Suitable for surfing too!

One of the most amazing beaches I have ever been. clear water, nice sandy beach, nice atmosphere, beautiful place!! nice spot if you want to learn or do surf! I totally recommended it and I wish I will be back there soon.

Zarautz beach seems to go on.forever. clean, fantastic surf and nice inexpensive cafes to have drinks or lunch along the promenade. In summer cute beach cabins appear on the sand. Surf schools and experienced surfers all along. Lots of locals just strolling along Children's play...More

This beach lives up to its name as queen of beaches. A gorgeous 2.5km sweeping curve which is great to walk along while watching the keen surfers. There are lots of locals who walk their dogs their who are all very friendly, the dogs too!...More

Good for any kind of familly, small or teen kids, or couples, or even solo. Large and pitoresque. Surf school. Expensive restaurants around, so bring a camp fridge, water, bear, sandwiches.

Euskotren goes from Bilbao to San Sebastian , stops along the way include zarautz.
