Ba gratis enjoys an inevitable position above the town of Kutaisi. Although the modern tower is not for everyone, saving this building and its heritage was clearly vital given some of the pictures that are on show outside.

The renovations on this cathedral will divide opinion. Certainly they lost the building its unesco heritage status. It has atmosphere and some elements of its 11th century origins remain. Worth a visit just to make up your own mind.

The cathedral is located at the top of a hill so from there you can take a look at the whole city. Absolutely recommended since it is historical and well conserved.

Located on a hill overlooking Kutaisi city, this 11th century church has nice carvings on the outside and a humble design inside, it also offers a nice panoramic view of the city, we also got the chance to listen to a folkloric group chanting...

It is not a very big church, though at the time I visited it is under renovations. Can see a good view of the town from the garden of this church. Peaceful area.
