Realy enjoyed it! Museum is small, but with excursion worth to visit. Nice tour, friendly guide, quick and informative tour in English. Best spent 3€.

This museum is worth a visit. Our tour of the museum with Gloria was informative and relatively quick. This was a really interesting, low time investment excursion that I recommend.

This is a very small, family-run museum located inside an old mill. The owner gives a very good and entertaining tour around the museum which is also suitable for children. At the end of the tour, there is the possibility to visit the "salina" next...More

Run by the family producing the salt, this museum is full of interesting artefacts and the tour by the member of the family was fascinating. A real part of Sicilian history.

We had a great time visiting Museo del Sale. We learned a lot and were able to walk around the property to see the salt pans and how the process works. We then enjoyed wine and appetizers in their restaurant. It was worth the trip...More

The museum and salt mining has been in the family for 3 generations. We arrived to be welcomed by one of the family who talked us through the history and explained how salt was mined. This is the oldest salt mine in Europe. They use...More

Although this is a large salt producing area, I was not aware of the history, nor the method of extracting the salt. Quite a short tour, but very good.
