we spent a week here on the island, there is something very special about being on a small island where you can walk to almost everything. Really good supermarket right next to a wonderful ice cream shop and they will deliver to your holiday home...More

We visited Vulcano whilst island hopping through the Eolian Islands. Very nice place to see the mud baths, hot water bathing as it is an active volcanic island

The small ton is charming and has small restaurants (excellent), a shop and houses for a pleasant explore or stroll. Note the sulphur laden rocks, often used to built walls

If you have at least half a day on the island of Vulcano, be sure to climb to the crater of Vulcano. There is a clear path to the top and around the crater and walking through the sulphuric fumaroles is a unique experience. Hiking...More

We loved the Aeolian islands, however for us this was the highlight. It was a km or so gentle walk up from the port to the start off the path. At first, the walk up to Vulcano seems a bit daunting, however it is relatively...More

We keep coming back as we enjoy the island so much. Very laid back, good restaurants and of course the mud baths to restore aching bones and muscles.

You can also take the private boats tours which include 2 swims in nice places and leave you 4 free hours to climb the crater and get down in time for a lunch. The boats leave Lipari at 10am and return at 5pm. The fee is 25... More
