Great views over the city of Rhodes. Plenty of free parking and nice for a walk in the sunshine, not much else.

I walked here from Ixia - about 3 miles. Saw the men on site and the tower surrounded by scaffolding and had a feeling I was going to be disappointed...especially when a coach load of people descended a few moments behind us! Thankfully, we walked...More

A thirty minute walk from our hotel, we went early to avoid the mid day sun. The main temple of apollo has scaffolding surrounding it so there is not much to see. However the stadium and theatre are nice to sit and soak up the...More

Although the original main buildings are near ruins, the amphitheater’s are in great condition. You can get a feel for how important this was. It is great to see work being done to stop the further decline of this monument.

Great hike to the temple of Athena. The views are unbelievable. The hike is a lot of uneven stairs with no handrails. Parts are slippery. I recommend this hike but where good shoes and be fit...

Visited one afternoon and was surprised at how quiet it was. Although the bit remaining was under scaffolding it was still an impressive sight. From there we walked down to the old stadium which was also very impressive. It is a free attraction. We walked...More

After reading a lot of reviews I didn’t think there would be much to see but I was pleasantly surprised. In the acropolis there was the temple of Apollo and around the temple you have the odeon and gymnasium to see as well which is...More

We took a walk up the mountain one early morning. The little that was left was renovating. More notable was the amphitheater and the sports arena. Good walk and impressive considering that we did not have our modern machinery when it went😉.

The temple of Apollo at the peak of the acropolis was under repair and covered in scaffolding, however it was still a sight to behold. If you go in summer, take sun hats and sunscreen and avoid the middle of the day as most of...More

I have seen families doing so. However, I must tell you that in some parts the ground is soil and rock. It might not be stroller-friendly. In other parts, where there is free it might be OK. You should be able to move in... More
