Beautiful Chateau and Gardens. The interior decor and furnishings are delightful. The feeding of the hounds we found questionable? There is obviously an element of training and inbuilt behaviour but they were held back by a handler with a whip until they were quite, then allowed...More

This was an excellent contrast to Chambord as it has been continuously inhabited by the same family for the last 600 years. Lovely to see the interior decoration and appreciate the family's ongoing involvement with the Chateau.

The château has beautiful rooms full of furniture, paintings and tapestry. It also reminded me of children's favorite comic, Tin Tin. It's very nice to see they have the exhibition devoted to this.

The castle is of beautiful symmetry. Too bad of one can not walk, one cannot enter. This should have been said at the ticketing office, and even better, improved with a ramp or so. The interior is nice. Partly still privately inhabited. Project with Lego...More

This is probably the most interesting castle in the Loire Valley, the only one of that importance still owned by the original family. Other castles such as Chambord are government owned. A very different experience. Great restaurant on the property, next to the golf course.
