Beautiful scenery, but road very narrow, ditch the car or van and grab a tuktuk. Once at the bridge you’ll be rewarded with lovely views and an architecturally inspired bridge. Train strike in Sri Lanka so no trains 😕

Lovely bit of architecture. Bit of a mission to get to but worth the view. Trains are on strike so I knew I was safe on the bridge. Beautiful place and popular spot for tourists.

We enjoyed a short walk to the 9 arch bridge. We could safely walk over the bridge as trains were not running during our visit. The structure is amazing and it is worth spending time walking around and having a good look at the bridge...More

A must see on your trip to Ella. The bridge is a testament to British architecture! It’s set a a scenic location and the hike is not too demanding. Try to travel outside hottest part of day as there is some up hill to contend...More

Appears structurally sound and functions well to allow trains and people to cross the ravine. 5/5 Actually very pretty, good for photos and a nice/easy walk from Ella town to reach the bridge. There are several ways to get there but I'd recommend walking along...More

I do not get why this place is so famous among instagramers. Until you do the testing photo, your legs are full of leeches! View on the jungle forest is beautiful, so are the rails, but imho this bridge is little overesrimated.

No need to hike. The easiest and fastest way to reach there as follows. Take a van and travel towards to "Haliela" (On Badulla main road) and there is a Sign board with 9 arch bridge on your right side. Take that road you... More
