When whites moved here they thought what a great place to farm and ranch. They also drained the wetlands and built a town. The Park Service is in the midst of removing all of that so it looks a bit more natural.

I think the Valley Shuttle would be a very good option. Parking is very limited, so is your time. The shuttle had designated parking spots and you hop out snap a few pics and hop back on. The ranger talks in between
