Not only is this place beautiful, but they also have rangers on site to help you figure out your hikes, give you interesting facts, and more! And get this, you can check out 'bear boxes' to take on your hikes so the bears won't come...More

A lot of visitors skip past this entry visitor center and head straight to Hurricane Ridge. I would suggest, however, to prioritize this visitor center near the main entrance to the park up from Port Angeles, as it is less crowded than the visitor center...More

Since Olympic NP is so large, we stopped to get some guidance as to what we should see. The attendant at the desk was most helpful and guided us to specific areas based on the amount of time we were spending at the park.

One of the first things you do before entering the park. Obtain the information that fits your plans. Check out the video to learn more. The visitor center is before you enter the park, so you can stop there before paying thee park fee.

Good film. Great information. Very good gift shop. Rangers are very helpful. Plenty of parking in the lot. Good place for a quiet stop (picnic) or with the pooch.

One day trip to Olympic National Park from Seattle. One day was a bit short (around 4 hours drive from Seattle) but we had time to visit Hurricane Ridge and Lake Crescent. I wish we had more time to see the Hoh Rain Forest and...More

My wife and I love to visit national parks. We have several favorites, but it seems as each visit to a park adds to our favorites list! Olympic National Park was no exception. There are mountains at Hurricane Ridge with fabulous views and a few...More

Just the driving distances involved in getting to each destination would keep you from visiting all of the places within Olympic National Park in one day. I completely agree with the suggestion that if you only have one day... More

There's a small shopping center Forks Outfitters on the south side of Forks that might let you stay there. There's also an RV park the Forks 101 RV Park which is across 101 from the outfitters on a side street.
