Awesome views. Many volcanic remains along the coastline. We went on a windy day and the water was crashing on the shoreline. Very picturesque.

The surf and waves were really pounding the shoreline and crashing on the rocks. It was easy to get wet just watching from the viewing platform. A nice little roadside pullover and short walk.

There is a good viewing platform which allows you to look out in all directions but also look across the rocks to see the splits down between the basalt columns into the ground. Great views out to sea as well as into the rock pools...More

This place was AMAZING, I don't understand why they don't write about this place more! You really get to see the huge forces of nature here, it's absolutely a must see place and my favorite place in Iceland.

This place is good if you are near and want to check it, however, I wouldn't recommend a visit just for this. The lava formation are curious to see, spend a while and go back to your car.

Lovely view, nice lava cliffs and rock pools. If its nice weather and not to windy, its lovely place to stop.

This is a great place to stop for a look of the Rocky Coastline. We were there on a sunny summerday so the water was quite calm, but I guess in the winter and when it's windy it will be impressive. It's totally safe if...More

The day I was here, all was pretty calm. This is a beautiful spot and easy to access from the car park. I expect it will be more interesting if there is some wind a sea kicking up.

Interesting stop to see jagged cliffs of lava with waves crashing. there are a couple of rock pools naturally formed from erosion.
