they take you to the memorial in a jetty boat crowded with locals and visitors. staff is rude. they charge 100 rs per person plus there is a entry fee of rs 20 per person on the memorial entrance. overall a decent place.

I think there are no heavy rains or extreme weather now at Kanyakumari. So it might be safe. But as this cannot be predicted, it's always good to have a watch on the local weather.
