Spent some time walking around the hill while on the NPS African American Heritage Trail tour. It's extremely picturesque. Even if you don't take the tour Beacon Hill is worth the time to explore if you have it.

The historic memorial sits atop a very hilly neighborhood with some great views of the city. Memorials on the way up to the monument explain the lives lost and memorialized.

I enjoy a good stroll through Beacon Hill to admire the old stately homes and picturesque alleys. While this used to be an exclusively wealthy neighborhood you'll find plenty of well known chains and stores among the boutique so it is worth exploring both as...More

A perfectly lovely view of imposing homes in a busy city. It is peaceful, well kept, very expensive and home to “old money”.

I would imagine that any visit to Boston would involve some part of the Freedom Trail. At one point you will be outside the old sate building, which is magnificent on its own. However, once at this location you have an opportunity to veer off...More

Sure you can get an Über. We took a cab and it was 18 USD as I recall. So an Uber is always cheaper
