This was the third time I've been to this market. This time we were there at the end of the day and many shops were closing. We were looking for some specific baskets & some vendors said their neighbor bender had them but she had closed. They called her and she returned. …
It was a great time at this place. So colorful and so many things so beautifully made! How talented and nice people!
In masaya have 2 markets. I send to the old one that could de mercado de artisaño. You can get there local art, hammocks, shoes, boots, and more in cheepers prices. Very nice and big market. Have also cool erea for second hand.
I enjoyed meeting Franco, who sold me his organic coffee from his finca Santa Juana. Very pleasant man. I enjoyed going through the market and bought more than I planned, but nobody was pushy.
Lots of shopping! Hammocks, leather purses and backpacks, wooden bowls, sandals, cigars. Very friendly vendors and you can negotiate prices.
