The most over rated place I've ever been to and I've traveled a lot. We looked at the map and decided to visit what appeared to be a quaint little town called Harbour Town. Harbour Town is NOT a town but a commercial resort built...More

Very nice place to visit. Lots of things to look at as you climbed the stairs. Not only gave you a chance to rest on the way up but was really informative.

Cool part of history in SC. Good tour and reading on the way to the top. Freindly folkes as well. Shopping area around the lighthouse and marina is fun.

While we were a little surprised to find that there is a day-use fee ($8) to access the lighthouse and shops, don't let it detract you from going. While the lighthouse is young and privately built, it is nicely set up. There is a small...More

Stopped to have lunch at Harbour town. Lighthouse is so iconic! It costs about $5 to climb 113 steps to the top! From up top you can view the prestigious 18th hole at the Harbour town golf course. And of course the marina and waterways....More

You must pay $8.00 to get into the area to see the lighthouse or to shop and eat. Quite ridiculous even when their premise is that the fee covers maintenance of entire area. Pass this one up.

I would give yourself about an hour give or take a little, depending on how long you want to spend reading the information along the way and taking photos and enjoying the view on the top of the Lighthouse.
