We've been to here at night, saw young people dancing and also a big food market. We had food with very low price and it was delicious. You can try the famous Zanzibar Pizza and different kinds of sea food in there on the stalls.

This is a must-visit park for anyone visiting Zanzibar. Here you don't only experience street food but you mix with locals and different nationalities. It is also by the sea and opposite the house of wonders, the famous UNESCO heritage building.

One of the things to do. Can be a bit harassing but nice to see the locals out and families having a good time. If you can be firm and tolerate the people all vying for your attention it’s great, even if it’s just for...More

Great for street food, try the skewers! Slowly barbecued and marinated in local spices! Always great to discover new, juicy and tasty flavors!

The night market is a fun experience, with many food stands set up. Most of the stands serve the same food, and the seafood is precooked then reheated so it is overcooked. It's a bit pricey. The places selling Zanzibar Pizza are a much better...More

I don’t understand how people gave this piece of crap ‘night market’ good reviews. It’s really horrible and overpriced. Rather go to a five star restaurant for cheaper! The food is crap and the portions small. Regret it...

There is no objection about the quality and taste of the delicacies found in Forodhani. But the prices are way too exaggerated for no specific reason. They charge more than a 5 star hotel. I thought the main reason for a food market place is...More

There is a real market 10 minutes away with better priced local food. I paid way too much and not only did people not bargain with me but they tried to rip me off big time.

Forodhani’s location is brilliant. The rooms are comfortable and big enough and I enjoyed the breakfast a lot... but might not suite all European tastes. The real highlight are the people- extremely friendly and helpful. I would certainly recommend the place.

Situated just in front of The Old Fort, which often hosts evening concerts, is Forodhani where Zanzibar city dwellers can stroll about in the evenings and decide to eat any delicious dishes from the numerous stall holders. It's the place to be, and to be...More
