I have to be honest and say we only visited this place because our Whale Watching trip was cancelled due to bad weather, but I am glad we did.

I was touched by the hardwork and dedication of the sanctuary. The staff is very passionate about conservation of sea birds and I was lucky enough toi go on a behind the scenes tour.
They also have adorable gifts and a delicious coffee.
What a wonderful initiative in Gansbaai. Do try and go during feeding time to see the penguins properly. Still a great pitstop otherwise. Very informative and interesting. Donations what keeps them afloat so please bear this in mind when you visit.
