Loved the viewing window and seeing the chocolates being made. For us, the best part was the official chocolate tasting. We learned how to best taste chocolate (yes, there really is a "correct" way to do it), and we got to try so.many of the...More
The chocolate tasting experience was fun but I thought I should have got to eat more than four pieces of chocolate. Watching them pack the chocolates was intersting. The cactus gardens are amazingly beautiful. The chocolate is delicious and super expensive.
We attended the $15 tasting experience. The instructor took us through the production process from picking pods through to boxing chocolates. With only a video, some photos and two props the presentation was somewhat lackluster. To be fair, the presenter was competent and engaging. The...More
Very small location. You can walk through everything in about ten minutes. When chocolates are being made maybe longer.
If you are willing to spend the money one of the tasting sessions can be very nice, especially if you are not knowledgeable in chocolate.
We enjoyed spending some time strolling in the cactus gardens while there. They were well cared for and we could see they were starting to put lights on for the holiday season. The best part for us though was shopping for chocolates. They offer premium...More
Stopped here on our Lake Mead luncheon Cruise on the way back to our hotel.Nice break from the heat. Had never tried their chocolates and fell in love over the brittle both with and without chocolate.

We stopped her on a whim after reading about the cactus garden during research on the area. I thought the garden would be a hokey tourist attraction, but it was actually really impressive! We loved seeing all the different types of cacti and even saw...More
The chocolate factory is a nice diversion and the offerings delicious although pretty pricey.
The highlight though was the 3 acre cactus garden. It was stunning, so many varieties tastefully arranged. It certainly didn’t feel like we were in the midst of an industrial park....More
This was my 3rd visit to Ethel M's and my husband's 1st visit. We like exploring the garden to see what plants were in bloom and wish we were in the area during the light shows. In the factory visitors can sign up for a...More

It’s about 20 minutes away depending on the time of day. I’d say it’s worth the trip if you are really into Seeing how chocolate foods come to life. As fas the Cactus garden, I haven’t had the pleasure of touring the grounds but if you are a nature lover, I’d stop by. The hot chocolate is really good.

You need a car to get there but it's not that far depending where on the Strip you're staying. I think it's worth the trip though. It's not just a store and cactus garden. If you go to Groupon, get a Groupon for about $10, you can go to a chocolate tasting there which is very informative and fun. It last about 40 to 45 minutes. And if you go early, you can see candy begin made in the factory. And at Christmas time, it's so beautiful because they actually decorate the cactus with hundreds of colorful lights. Now that's a nice time with lots of people so go early.
It's a fun trip so try it.
