We had a taxi take us from Hoi An to Hue and the road up over the pass was amazing. The views from the pass were fab and we took advantage of the shade the cafe offered before continuing.

Quick trip this time on way to Hue. This time we were in a car but previously we did it in a motor bike and side car. Voted best coastal path by the top gear team and it certainly is worth a visit.

Sky and water was so clear and shades of blue and pink pictured a perfect sight. This was the route to Hue. Highly recommended to use this route to see the rare beauty if you have time.

The road itself was wonderful and the views were absolutely breathtaking! The driver we had stopped at a popular viewpoint in order for us to get pictures - the view was amazing!

Hai Van Pass is a model example of what can happen to an otherwise beautiful area when it becomes too popular too quickly. Hai Van Pass was once a beautiful mountain pass with minimal traffic. The new tunneled highway constructed near the pass diverted much...More

A lot of people warned us about how dangerous this pass was to motorbike, but we had already driven the north and this was extremely tame by comparison. It was hazy the first time we did it, so we doubled back the next day and...More

If you are staying in Hoi An you find plenty of tour companies that can satisfy your needs. You can look on Trip Advisor and /or Danang / Hoi An Expats facebook page.

Yes there are bathroom facilities, but make sure you have your own paper (tissues are fine) and hand sanitiser. If you've travelled through Asia before you'll know this is a fairly standard requirement.
