Flamingos are my favorite animal so seeing them up close in their natural habitat was really cool. I wish there were clearly paved/outlined walk ways because I ended up breaking my shoes because it got stuck in the mud and I tugged a little too...More
This is a free-to-visit roadside attraction. Have a good zoom lens on your camera and be prepared to walk out a bit, but if you’re fortunate enough to see a flock of flamingos on the still water, they will be the most vivid color you...More

Wear light weight clothes.

From the cruise ship you need to go west an follow directions Sint Willibrodus. Best is to combine it with a visit to one of the beaches like Playa Porto Marie which has a restaurant, or Daaibooi that has more something like a snackbar. Near the Salina Jan Kok is also a landhouse you can visit, and with a view on the Saline is a local minimarket where you can also enjoy a coffee or a lunch.
Nice about St. Willibrordus is that you can walk over the dikes. The birds also happen to fourage in Boca St. Michel or the Salina of Jan Thiel
