Great visiting place being the non-believer myself. It was structurally magic with grand statue and grand auditorium halls. I will recommend 2 all my Buddhist contacts who wants 2 seek some grand inner peace while viewing Batam island.

A large Buddhist temple. Good place for meditating but unfortunately, I was visited it during Sunday which they have Sunday class in main hall. Good vegetarian food in the restaurant. Remember to buy some souvenirs and vegetarian food for home.

I never knew such a place existed in Batam, it was a pleasant surprise. The place is clean and the compound is huge. It’s a place of worship but I would think sightseeing is welcomed (just be respectful). Items at the souvenir shop are reasonably...More

Place for Buddhist worship with nice range of vegetarian food in the restaurant. Quite Surprised to see a well built Buddhist temple here. Only spend 30mins as i already had my meal and did not try out any of the vegetarian food.

Dear Ms Wendy, The nearest port would be Batam Centre. It's about 10 mins from the ferry terminal.Taxi will cost you about IDR60 - 70,000. You may wanna use Grab for a cheaper cost.
