The base was leveled by the Americans when they pulled out and subsequently reopened and rebuilt by ARVN troops in the same manner as the Americans.. Some of the fortifications have been rebuilt and preserved. There is a very good museum and a few US...More

Always wanted to visit here. I've always heard about Khe Sanh when in the Marines. It was humbling to see the place in person. HIGHLY recommend going there.

Although most Vietnamese were not even born when the American War took place, it is still a sobering and interesting museum to visit. It wasn't crowded as we got there early.

A few old tanks, a HUEY & a C130 dot the landscape. Also some bunkers & remaining trenches that can be walked through. In the middle is a building containing some artefacts & interesting photos. I found it very interesting & quite moving. The kids...More

A very emotional visit as I returned to one of the places where I served during the Vietnam War. Some of the bunkers still exist and there are several displays of US aircraft and equipment. Peaceful, it looked entirely different than I remembered.

Although not the best museum to tell the story, the scenery and machinery on display was awesome. I’m so glad I made my way out here to see it from Hue. To reflect on what happened not that long ago gave me more of an...More

Given that most everything on sites from the American War period was taken apart or recycled there's very little left in terms of buildings and installations. This attempts to make up for that in a way. A number of sad, stuffed and mounted items of...More

While visiting teh DMZ and other battlefields in the area, this is one place to visit to see the conditions the Marine's dealt with stationed and protecting the base. Tough times for all involved at the time. A very quiet place today.
