we didn't know what to expect from Sausalito and the visitor's center did not add to us much. they are polite, OK, but not more than that

A good place to start when visiting this charming waterfront community. The microclimate here gives sunny warm weather much of the time, even when it’s cool and foggy in San Francisco. Many great food and shopping options.

You would be better off renting bicycles and riding across the bridge. The bridge is no short walk. Then you would still need to walk further to get to Sausilito and then have the energy to walk around and enjoy yourself and... More
