This road into Yosemite has impressive views, and impressive twists and turns. There are convenient overview spots, but parking is limited and no notice that they are coming up

Beautiful drive to Yosemite Valley on a weekday. Do not recommend weekend trip no parking and slow traffic. Plan on two hours to Yosemite Village on weekend if you do not make any stops along the way. Plenty of places to pull off and take...More

Kind of hot drive as you drop through a canyon down to the Yosemite Valley. As you come down, get ready for some wonderful views and waterfalls. After the long tunnel, get ready to pull over for some great pictures. Also watch for people crossing...More

El Portal on route 140 is closer to the Yosemite Valley as the motel rates will demonstrate. Rush Creek in the next closest on this route 120 road entrance, but much farther that anything in El Portal.

Easy road for cars. A little windie in spots for RVs but very passable for them. It gets you into Yosemite National Park.

Ok we parked our 5th wheel at Yosemite RV Resort & Campground. The drive to Yosemite National Park was on Big Oak Flat Rd. Because I was there in October the traffic was a minimum. The drive was scenic with trees on top of threes....More

Check with the park, as I recall the only tunnels are for the climb out of the valley, two or three tunnels, the rest is relatively flat on the flats. I would think they are as high as the long tunnel from the southwest... More
