This is a great tourist attraction, A large Pagoda with Buddha statues and shops of local crafts. We went around the Pagoda along with a lot of foreign tourists, mainly Australians with whom we had travelled on the river cruise from Mandalay to Bagan.

Hmmm... An impressive pagoda, worth a brief visit if you are willing to run the gauntlet of hawkers.

The most prominent place in Bagan, this was the first place we visited and found it extremely beautiful. It was built about a thousand years and ago and has been maintained well. It has the Buddha relic which make this very important. It has an...More

there is no doubt that temple is a must see place if you were in Bagan. I love the structure and architecture of the temple, even it is very hot outside, you still feel nice and cool when you come inside.

This pagoda has been thoroughly "renovated". More like rebuild many times without consideration of the previous look. It is still a nice temple to visit but you would never know it was build 900 years ago instead of 20 years ago.

This is one of the most beautiful temples in Bagan. Covered in gold leaves, the main temple is glowing in the sun. It's really nice to see locals praying around.

This is my first stop when I arrived in Bagan after the transfer from overnight bus. Magnificent view with clear blue skies compensates the past few rainy days. A must visit!

For me this was one of the highlights among the 30+ temples/pagodas I visited during our stay in Bagan. I really miss words in my English vocabulary to describe this, you just have to go there yourself. And as others state. Prioritize this before a...More

Very beautiful place and one of the few temples with ongoing active prayers and continuous prayers. Would recommend start your Bagan visit with this before you get Pagoda fatigue to be able to completely appreciate the beauty. Takes less than an hour, but there are...More
