Hiking here was blissful. It is serene. There are tortoises on the paths. The information office was closed midday.

We took a short walk for an hour or so. A nice touch in the visitors centre was a display of all the plants in flower on the reserve, all labelled. We were short on time and didn't venture far. It was very windy so...More

This nature reserve was a real hit with my family. Encountering a group of baboons, with their babies, was a particular highlight, but the more sedate tortoise we came across also warrants a mention. We weren't equipped for a proper hike, but the trails were...More

The nature reserve is well maintained, clean facilities for family outings, hikes or just just enjoy the view looking down on the town and bay. Huge variety of fynbos must be beautiful when all flowering.

Several marked trails and a map at the visit centre helped up plan a 3 hour walk around the park. We loved the scenic views and abundance of flowers and plants.

What a beautiful excursion to the flower festival. Scored of volunteers making sure old and young enjoy themselves. It was amazing to see how beauty arose from ashes! Kudos to the organisers!

I initially went to the Fernkloof Nature Reserve for the flower show. Being a Sunday and arriving around 10am many of the stalls weren't set up yet so I went off to explore. What a beautiful place! Mountains, birdlife and Cape Floral Kingdom species. I...More
