You go to Carlton Center and take the elevator until the 50th floor to have a look on the city. What most impressed me was that I couldn’t see a river. So it was very dry. And poor. Not beautiful but you may have an...More

My family of 4 did this attraction with our own private tour guide. Situated at the top on the 50th floor of the Carlton Center, one needs to take an elevator to get to the top of the tallest building in the entire African continent....More

Great place to view all 4 corners of Johannesburg from 51 floors high. This provides tourists with the best view which you get to view the city from its serene state despite the hustle and bustle taking place 51 floors down.

We struggled to find the entrance as it is on level minus one of the shopping centre and not clearly marked. The price was double what we expected but still cheap. There was no queue so we were straight in the elevator and up to...More

We drew up next to a closed hotel and walked through a small mall - we had to go down an escalator to get the lift to the Top of Africa. Having been to many US cities and London it is surprising to hear that...More

Possible to reach the 51st floor of the building in a few seconds. Wonderful view on the whole city.

The place was abandoned, and the view was nothing much (because Jo’burg, just like Riyadh, is nothing much to look at). Go there only if you’re interested in how a great potential can be wasted.
