You get a guide to share stories about Mandela while living here. The home has been restored but the bullet holes are still visible.

Even though Nilsson had spent his life in prison, but it worth to see where he spent part of his life. The house consists of 3 tiny rooms. Most of the stuff in the house is not the original.

This small, basic house was home to Nelson Mandela before his imprisonment. He lived here with 2 of his wives and the hous stands as a testament to the history of the area.

Had a short trip here as part of a Soweto tour. Good tour guides and good to see some of the artifacts in the place. Small so won't need long here

A disappointing important landmark that has been tainted by its unnecessary renovation and is unfortunately surrounded by hawkers and commercialism.

The street Valakazi street is famous because of 2 Nobel peace prize winners staying so close to each other, Mandela’s house is a museum and it’s an iconic landmark into the history of South Africa. Great place to gain a better understanding of Nelson Mandela...More
