The place is simply magic. Everything looks so different from any other place, making it hard to describe. We made a tour with Atacama Horse Adventure and totally loved it, especially me who had no idea at all on how to ride a horse. How...More

Great for photography. Amazing formation. The sand for sand boarders looks fantastic. Important to visit with a guide that can explain the various layers.

You soon realise why they call it Mars or Death Valley. The rock formations are like from another world, around every corner of rock is another wonder to behold.

Enter bliss! Beautiful landscapes and all the salt tricks you thinking it's ice. Definitely some interesting contrast against the beautiful rock formations. This is a beautiful landscape worth seeing when you're here.

Went on an excursion from out hotel. Nice walk along the ridge and then had to come down a steep sand dune. Not good for people with problems with heights like someone in our group but we got down ok. Lots of sand boarders there...More

Depending upon which part you travel, there are great examples of some of the common mineral deposits here like copper and cobalt. It also has many wandering llamas or guanaco along the river.

It's an interesting tour, but not one of the best in the Atacama. It's rocky and tall formations that often resemble a mining company. I have seen many people more concerned to posing for pictures than appreciating the place, perhaps as a consequence of social...More

Don’t need anyone taking you there. Awesome place to visit. Very close to San Pedro de Atacama. Liked it so much that I did it twice.

Its not called valley of Mars for no reason! The soil is red and the valley is vast with great troughs and crests rising and falling through it. The landscape really does look like it is from another planet. There is an opportunity to park...More
