You can walk for hours on the beach or stop at the beach restaurants, go to the opposite side of the street it is lined with hotels and restaurants.

I just loved the Avenida Atlantica. This is great place to go for walk, lots of restaurants and bars. Very clean and no cars.

We actually stayed right on the Avenida, at the Hilton, and really liked all the fuss going on all up and down the street. So many great local shops and restaurants. We absolutely loved that part of Rio!
