Built in 326 A.D. at the foot of Lingyin Mountain, this temple features a main hall extending 33.5 meters in height, a statue of Sakyamuni carved out of 24 pieces of camphor wood and a laughing Buddha covered in gold.

This temple was pretty large and interesting. The only thing is to enter it you have to pay to get into Fei Lai Feng scenic area and then again to get into the temple, so definitely combine it with a visit to the stone carvings...More

Amazing statues of all mediums of Buddha. The gardens, caves and temples are very impressive. There are MANY people in August! I think a shoulder season would be a calmer experience, but was still much enjoyed by my husband and me.

I booked private coach so transport was easier. Difficult to call a cab if don't have local bank account tied to Apps. Can rely on flagging taxi on the street but depends on luck.
