This church built on the site of the murder of the last tsar. The cellar that they were murdered in has been gentrified but is open for viewing somehow this does not seem tasteful to me. I did not like the vibes and although the...More

This is the main reason for lots of tourist who visit Yekaterinburg. The building is impressive and the inside is wonderful. They are renovating some of the interior.

This beautiful church was built in the site where the last Czar of Russia, Nicholas II, was shot and killed along with his family members. The Orthodox church was erected in 2000. It is not overly large, but very beautiful.

Besides being the site of the Romanov massacre, the small museum by the church has some blockbuster documents — Nicholas’s signature on an abdication message, “Dear Nicky/Dear Willy” correspondence from the start of World War I, Bolshevik documents relating to Romanovs’ murder.

Once in Ekaterinburg you simply can’t miss the church on the blood. Just make sure you also visit the lower floor down.
