Who knew how many items could be made out of amber?!?!? Our favourite part of the museum was actually the coloured windows, on the interior side.

A nice museum to see the Amber of various types, with insects inside and even the replica of the Vassa ship. Not big, but on a rainy day, was a warm place to save us😃

They have some outstanding amber pieces mixed in with some more pedestrian ones. They do a nice job of explaining how amber is mined and processed, and the history of amber in the Kaliningrad area. Get the audio guide as English signage is minimal.

Interesting. Most of the interesting pieces are replicas of the originals held in Moscow and St Petersburg. Nice old building.
