Taqah Castle is a museum with lots of exhibits to see. Good views of taqa village and the sea ... reasonable entry charges ... nothing extraordinary if u have visited other castles or fort in Oman....

Taqah Castle was built in the 19th century. It is now a museum. There are lots of exhibits to see. Small fee to enter.

Charming small fort. Easy access up a short zigzag stairway. It was closed despite the advertised timings but probably for Eid. Lovely panoramic views of Taqah and the coast. A lot of rubbish left by lazy people ruins the site.

Castle was closed when we go there, but it's worth trudging up the 136 steps for the view of the town and surroundings.
