I visited the reactor site as part of an organised trip to the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone - the only way you can visit as a tourist. The experience was brought to life by our superb guide who told the story and informed you of everything...More

This was definitely one of the best experiences while travelling in Ukraine, to have watched the 5 part mini series on HBO and then to come to this place to see it in person is life-changing. I was surprised we could get so close but...More

One must admire all the work various countries did together to confine the reactor 4 after everyone finally saw what the aftermath of the Chernobyl disaster could be. This massive shelter really gave me shivers, and I only stood some 200-300 meters away. We're only...More

A truly spectacular structure. I watched a documentary made about the construction on the way and the technology utilised is absolutely spectacular. It is amazing that you can now get so close

Visiting the site of the world's worst nuclear disaster is an incredible experience. Expect very tight security and inappropriate nuclear safety protocols. The vast scale of the reactor buildings and the monumental efforts made by those involved to reduce the impact of the accident are...More

A “historic” place to visit. Interesting to visit the site and the area. To get as close as 300 meters you need to be on an educational tour. We used Chernobyl aTours who were very good.
