The Cave Dwellings of Cappadocia have to be seen to be believed. We were told that people had been living in these caves up until less than 100 years ago. We spent hours marveling at the complex, yet simple architecture. It is a photographers paradise!
Downtown has heaps a cave dwellings from days of old in all the towns in the region. What a time. No mortgage to pay. No rivallery with the neighbours as they too live in a cage
Cappadocia is a huge region with a lot of villages. Each place has something to see. We stayed in Göreme. Seeing the balloons rising in the mornings was magical. There is so much to see and do but you will need a driver to see most things.
