The main attraction of chiangrai. The temple is big and attractive. Spend some time walking around to see the wishing well pool, make a wish with the hanging silver leaf, Buddha under the tree and even the free art exhibition of the artist who donated...More

What a privilege to visit Wat Rong Khun! The most beautiful, intriguing detail in art I have ever seen and the back story to the artist who created it is very humbling. You can not visit Chiang Rai without spending a few hours here -...More

Hard to miss this as it’s on the drive into Chiang Rai (from Chiang Mai) - the world and their husband seem to drop by (it was v busy when we visited later in the afternoon). Remember this is an art installation, not a Buddhist...More

Surprising, whimsical, grotesque, provocative.....worth a detour if you're traveling this way. And check out the museum as well if you have time to get a wider appreciation of the artist

Truly a must visit. So unique and interesting had a blast. A real artistic and symbolic approach to it's architecture. The exterior is very striking. Probably one of the fanciest bathrooms ever.

To enter the temple you must have shoulders and knees covered. Although it is privately owned it is respected as a sacred place.

It also depends on the weather. If it is raining in that evening, then maybe the place closes earlier.
