You need to drive about 10 km to get up to this. After that you need to walk a bit. It is beautiful and well worth spending some time here. Bring a sweater since it can be much cooler up there.

It's about 10-15 minutes by bus (number 12) from Bulguksa Temple: usually, who comes here, then goes to Seokguram. While I found Bulguksa wonderful, I cannot say the same thing for Seokguram. It's a very small room temple carved into the rocks, viewed from behind...More

Seokguram grotto is UNESCO world heritage, so don't miss this gorgeous man made cave with a giant buddha statue in it. The way up the mountain is steep, narrow and full of hairpinturns, but well worth it. This temple has a big car and bus...More

Cool place to stay on a hot day after a long stroll. Nice details on carvings and the history upstairs was interesting. Careful going up and down the stairs though because its really steep.

Seokguram was very neat. We went on a tour and received a lot of good history and information from our guide. It's a bit of a hike, though, so be ready. And the last part is stairs, no way around it. But the rest is...More

My family of eight were visiting Gyeongju in June 2019. Of all the places we visited, this was my favourite. It began with a drive up the mountain, which had spectacular views and hairpin turns. Once we reached the parking lot we walked the rest...More
