The tower is small but worth a look when wandering to other attractions close by. The best time to see is at night, when the tower is lit up & goes through 6 colour changes every 60 minutes The surrounding park area goes to other...More

The observatory is not amazing. I think because we don't have access to the history behind. By night more beautiful. Lucky, there is more thing to visit around

It’s just an ancient astronomical observatory tower. Nothing to brag about. It’s located in a beautiful garden where you can take insta worthy pics. Would recommend ones to take a bicycle to go around as it’s quite a distance to stroll around especially when the...More

Not sure if I missed something but I was disappointed with the observatory. After a bit of a walk, all our group saw was a small stone structure which we could not enter. We all agreed it was not worth the effort.

This is an observatory tower constructed during the Shilla era in the 7th century. It has been well preserved and today we can admire it as historical heritage.

Incredible history, but would not pay to walk around when you can take pictures from outside. The monument itself is incredible with the age and how it was used.

Cheomseongdae means star-gazing tower in Korean. This (kind of small) tower is an astronomical observatory. It is one of the most well know sights of Gyeongju and that in itself makes it worth a visit. You can't come near to the tower, but the surroundings...More

While this observatory wasn’t that interesting or impressive, the area around it was filled with local flowers. The lotus flowers were just finishing blooming when I visited. They were beautiful and impressive! The whole area was filled with flowers native to S Korea. Spend some...More
