This small temple dominates the tiny square of Borobudur village. If you paid for Mendut Temple, this one is included. In the village there are the usual hawkers, but also a cool place were a woman was making coconut sugar and some delicious cookies.

Our small tour group stopped to view the temple but did not enter because heavy restoration is under way, and there are safety concerns for visitors at the site. One can appreciate the grandeur of the temple, however. It will be a 4 or 5...More

Our driver brought me here when my colleague had to take care of some business; we parked and walked to the temple because of extensive street repairs/construction. There's a minimal entrance fee. This is a single structure in a small park surrounded by the town--...More

If you are going to Borobudur combine it this and Mendut. All in thwme same vicinity. Really small and unique. Need less than 10 minutes there. In the middle of a little village. Very pushy sales people near by buy just ignore it. Worth a...More

On the way to Borobudur temple, we passed Mendut temple and stopped at Candi Pawon to take some photos. This is a very small temple, completely dwarfed by Borobudur nearby. Entrance fees are also very cheap compared to Borobudur. Not many visitors here as most...More

The temple itself was unremarkable but the area around it was picturesque. There were public toilets, luwak coffee shop and vendors, but they weren't too pushy.
