Personally I wouldn't go out of my way to visit - you can find the same items here as you can anywhere else in Bali and the sellers grabbing at you can be a little over-whelming

Very crowded, narrow and often the same stuff (literally more than 50 stores selling similar sarons). We liked Ubud Market a lot more. Might be worth it if you _really_ like shopping and are short on cash.

Was recommended to go there to buy local things but did not find what we expected! Every seller was selling the same, cheap looking stuff - probably not even made in Indonesia

Lots of woodwork and handicrafts at great prices. Much smaller than Ubud but not as hectic well worth the trip

Sukawati is the best shopping paradise for the shoppers. Of course, a great bargain is needed, if you want to have a reasonable and cheap price.

After walking the market, I don't think it's a necessary place to stop by unless you really do have an intention of getting paintings/souvenier/handicraft/figurine etc. Some shop do have interesting items but the shop owners/staff can be very pushy in trying to get you to...More

We were lucky to find a great artist here. And loved his work. There are many stores but his collection really stands out. It’s right in the beginning near where the old market used to be. Can get some great work for great prices. Need...More

Visited Nadia's gold and silver jewellery in Gianyar, where we were able to watch the local artisans hand making jewellery and arts. A great and authentic experience and got totally absorbed in both the process, and the shop!!
