if you are in downtown Medellin you should consider stopping by the botanical garden, really peaceful and can get away from the busy downtown life, also great place for taking pictures

There was a very large book fair in and around the park and it was not a season for a lot of color, but it was most enjoyable to be with the families sharing books or food in the Garden.

This is a very nice place in Medellin. Actually in Medellín you can’t really go to any park and relax, so the botanic garden might be the only place where you actually can sit in some park and relax if you like this kind of...More

I enjoyed spending a few hours in nature inside Medellin. This is a nice place to get away from the crowds and see plants and birds and even big lizards. You can easily spend 2-3 hours there.

The entry is impressive, good vegetation, but be aware half the park is closed at the moment. They appear to be making lots of improvements though so I'm sure if I visited I'm December instead of August, it would get at least 4 stars

We visited during the Feria de Flores and a special orchid exhibit. The displays were so beautiful and clever and the pavilion was superb. Along with the flowers they were celebrating local artisans with special booths throughout the grounds. We have been to numerous botanical...More

Take, time, walk around, take pictures. Some parts were being remodeled. FREE not too many eating options around area. Would have loved to spend more time without my teens.
