The rock tunnels/maze were really cool and very fun to explore! It was also nice looking inside the halls. But there wasn't very much "garden"

This is by far the best garden we feel to visit . The rock garden and maze are fun to get the family lost in. Very busy place but well worth visiting.

Lion Forest is an ancient garden dating from the 11th C. Most fascinating is the maze of stone built tunnels and caves that thread through a manmade mountain constructed with such extraordinary skill as to appear entirely natural. Later development added some beautiful buildings to...More

This more like a formation of rock maze rather than a garden. If you follow the path, you would walk down into a cave then climb up, then down again and so on. We unfortunately went on the weekend during the summer time, so it...More

This was so much fun. It is a garden full of rock formations that create tunnels and bridges. You can wander around and be 10 feet from someone but with all the maze features not be able get to each other without quite a bit...More

The Lion Forest is much smaller than the Humble Administrator but just as charming and impressive. The paths in the garden are through rock formations and a series of mazes. The garden is in close proximity to other gardens through the joint Suzhou garden’s parking...More

A great rock garden thats hard to imagine. Would describe it as a sculptured rock garden (complete with caves). We actually liked it better than the Humble Administrator's Garden (which is very close by, walkable). Lots of indoor and outdoor activities to look at/do. Wear...More

This garden is one of the prettiest and most interesting I have visited in China (although I am sure others have sampled many more gardens than I have). We were able to get an English-speaking tour when we arrived (lucky there) and that really added...More

Imagine being trapped in a 3-dimensional cave maze with people on both sides and not being able to move. I hated this place, but if the previous sentence doesn’t phase you, you might love it.

This garden may be smaller compared to the Humble Administrators, but nice all the same. It is in good condition despite it's age. Worth seeing.

Hello there, I just bought the tickets at the booth. There was no line when I went. If you go on weekends in the summertime there may be more people. If that’s the case I may look into buying the tickets on line. You can... More
